WELCOME

I’m a contradiction.

That was probably not the best way to begin this website. But in a way, being contradictory is one of the most important characteristics I have to offer. Let me explain:

For most of my life, I have battled with a desire to find myself. I know this is common occurrence, but unlike others, I have truly spent a great deal of time rationally debating who I am. And in the short time that I’ve had, I’ve come to one conclusion: I will never be just one element. I cannot stymy myself into a mold. And when I came to this conclusion, I stopped trying to find out who I am, and simply starting looking at what I enjoy.

I’m an adjunct professor who rides a Harley. I’m a techie who works at the forefront of advancements in digital media who takes photographs of nature with an f2 Nikon from 1976. To me, a trip to the Tenement Museum and Six Flags Great Adventure seem equally exciting. And as I write this in my room, I see my copy of Thomas Paine’s Common Sense blanketed by a well worn Jeremy Shockey Giants jersey. I hope whoever is reading this is not a Cowboys fan, but I hope more importantly that you get my point. And while I continue to be a contradiction, I still can believe that there are some constants in my professional life. Which brings me to the creation of this webpage.

I seek to be creative, to diligently research and acquire information, and to share this information with others. My goal is to improve lives through whatever means have been given to me. In the past, I have achieved these goals with some success by teaching, conducting scholarly research, and by designing creative forms of media. My resume has a list of these qualifications, and you will be able to browse through it or download it here:

I hope you find the information on this site interesting and appealing. Please contact me if you have any questions.
